If you haven’t noticed by now, budjetsetgo is a made-up word from “budget”, “jet-set” and “get set go”. This blog served to document my travels during my overseas exchange in Spring of 2017, and is also a creative space for me to keep writing and making graphics while traveling.
I believe that travelling is a personal privilege and I should not rely on my parents too much financially. For my 6 months in Europe, I only asked for $6000 from my parents for food, accoms, return airfare and travel insurance. The rest came from my side #hustle and savings.
Of course, travel should not be all about slumming it out and spreading yourself thinly so you could see as many places as humanly possible. The key is to decide on a budget you’re comfortable with (budjetset), then GO.
I hope my travel tips/guides serve you well, and that you can come back with money to spare like I did!
